Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. This book is a reading copy only! It is a Fair quality sixth format (smooth orange binding) book, as per Mattson & Davis, was copyrighted in 1927 and published by the Whitman Publishing Company; it is 8" tall with 216 numbered pages of text. This book is square, worn and soiled, free of edge dings with all four corners lightly bumped and the bottom two worn to the boards; the head and heel of the spine are bumped with some fraying; the bottom edges have a moderate amount of wear. The spine is soiled and lightly faded but the lettering is intact; however, all four gutter edges have wear and fraying in the binding. The front panel is modestly soiled. The interior is free of writing, stray marks and stains of any sort; there are about 2 dozen pages that have worm holes, but they are confined to the margins (see photo) and do not obscure the text; also, the FFEP has chipped off and the title page is loose but laid in. Both hinges are reasonably strong and holding quite nicely. The text paper is heavily toned and somewhat stiff but not brittle. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. It has no illustrations. There are no lists in this book. This book is a reading copy only!
