IBook #17 in the second Tom Swift YA series, which was comprised of 33 volumes written under the pseudonym Victor Appleton II. Orig. published in 1961, this is a Third Printing, listing to Book #19 in front matter & on back cover. With colorfully decorated matte paper over boards & golden yellow spines/back covers, in 184 pages with a plain frontispiece, internals, & endpapers by illustrator Graham Kaye. Condition is solidly VG: very clean & bright, NO fading; pages white & unmarked, but dust dulling to outside edges. Binding strong, hinges intact, with a slight rightward lean. Only flaws are 1) rubbing to extremities & bumping to all corners, & 2) small stain to bottom edge of about the last 20 pages. No DJ, as issued. There are a few faint markings with wear along the edges and bumping at the spine and corners. You can see binding cracking at the inside of the front and back covers. Binding has loosened throughout the book with time and will need to be handled with the appropriate care but remains firm. Text is lightly age toned but otherwise clean and binding is strong. Overall book is in very good condition.
