Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. First edition. 8vo. [7], viii-x, 1-245, [1] pp. Blue paper boards with gold lettering on the front board and spine. Translated into English by Orlando Chaljub. The present work is the translation of lecture notes from a course given by Grothendieck in 1954. Grothendieck spent the early 1950's researching topological vector spaces and proved a number of important results. Grothendieck's lectures represent the culmination of this research and were a state of the art summary of the field. A nice copy of this uncommon book by one of the one of the greatest mathematicians of the 20th century. A sticker ghost on the free front endpaper.
