Laid in is a TLS, in envelope, on "The SUN" letterhead (the newspaper) to one Mrs. Liek, a friend of the author. It is dated October 7, 1942, and discusses the reissue of the book, and states that he is sending her a copy of the book. In the same envelope is a small brochure about Davis, who was known as the "Most Widely Traveled Correspondent in the World." Portrait frontis by Charles Dana Gibson. The book is about fine with very slight bumping to spine ends. The scarce DJ is sunned to spine with rubbing to joints and edges. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; xviii, 276 pages; Signed by Author.
