In acceptable+ condition / NO dust jacket. Green illustrated Paper over Boards with green cloth on corner tips and spine. Bumping and scuffing to edges of covers and top and bottom of spine. Binding tight. Pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. NO remainder marks. Caryl Buell Storrs (1879 - 1920) Storrs was a prominent figure in Minneapolis, known for his work as a dramatic and musical editor for the Minneapolis Tribune. This is a collection of outdoor sketches that were originally featured in the Minneapolis Tribune which highlight his keen interest in natural history and the outdoors, particularly within the Minnesota region. [From Foreword] The rambling and loosely related sketches here collected under the title "Nature's Press Agent" were not produced with any thought of their achieving permanent form. They were written in response to an order for Sunday "feature stories" from the Managing Editor of The Minneapolis Tribune, on whose staff I am dramatic and musical editor. They have been put into book form in compliance with a number of friendly requests. My position on The Tribune staff brings me into contact with innumerable press agents; those engaging, enterprising and accomplished geniuses who travel a week or so ahead of every theatrical and concert company for the purpose of stirring up interest in the entertainments of which they are the advance couriers. My firm belief, after a life-long attendance upon the entertainments given under the blue dome of the out-of-doors, is that Nature provides better "shows" for less money than any other actor-manager. It is with an earnest wish to convert others to the same faith, that I have had the temerity to appoint myself her press agent. Signed by Author.
