Staudinger emigrated to the United States with her…husband Hans (1889-1980) in 1934, who had been arrested by the Nazi regime the previous year. This volume announced the establishment of a fund in her name, the "Else Staudinger Tribute Fund". ___DESCRIPTION: Original quarter parchment and blue paper covered boards, decorative woodcut and lettering to upper board in blue and yellow, paper label printed in blue on backstrip, title page in blue and brown, two floriated initials in blue, text in blue, one black and white photo reproduction of Else Staudinger, facsimile signature of Alvin S.
