Dark green covers are blind-printed front and rear and with ornate gilt title on the front, bumped corners. Original green leather spine issplit along the front joint and the front cover is detached. Small library label and reference number on inside of front cover and large Ampleforth Abbey purple stamp on front end-paper. Red and black frontis and title-page which also has a decorative panel. 9 plates and many woodcuts and vignettes - a couple in colour. Plates have tissue protective sheets and have light foxing. Cloth faded and grubby, pulling and small areas of loss on spine, some light marking and foxing throughout, fair to good copy thus. The 1841 first edition of Pugin's seminal work.

Cloth slightly faded, spine split and rubbed, pulling to top and bottom of spine with significant piece missing at the top. Small stamp ex-libris Franciscan Library, Greyfriars, Oxford. Scattered foxing throughout. Condition generally fair to good thus. The 1841 first edition of Pugin's seminal work.

HARDCOVER. 1895. Two volumes bound as one. A near fine copy bound in lightly corner bumped navy blue boards with gilt lettering on the spine. Gilt on the top edge.
