The inscription "Les Tuileries" is scripted at the bottom center of the print, identifying the subject as the historic Parisian palace. The Tuileries Palace, which was located in Paris, was a royal and imperial palace that stood from 1564 to 1871 when it was burned down during the Paris Commune.
