The engraved print, presented in an oval frame, depicts the Tuileries Palace with its symmetrical facade, featuring two stories of windows and a ground-level arcade, under a sky with sketched clouds; in the foreground, several figures are scattered across the courtyard, including individuals strolling and conversing. The inscription "Les Tuileries" is scripted at the bottom center of the print, identifying the subject as the historic Parisian palace. The Tuileries Palace, which was located in Paris, was a royal and imperial palace that stood from 1564 to 1871 when it was burned down during the Paris Commune.
