In this case, Trav navigates treacherous and somewhat ironic waters. He ends up in Hawaii where the boat is called "Trepid" and there's salvage of the marine variety. Inscribed by John D. MacDonald to a previous owner on the half title page. "For X, John D. MacDonald May '85." Black cloth, 287 pages. Fourth Printing of the First Edition. The book has light general wear. The dust jacket is price clipped and has a crease on the front flap. The jacket also has a bit of edge wear. Signed by Author(s).

A Near Fine book in a Good or better dust jacket. SIGNED, dated, and inscribed by the author to the front free paper. An outstanding copy of this Travis McGee novel, the 15th in the series, and may be the hardest to find in collectible condition; rare indeed signed. This copy is in near fine condition with mild rubbing to the edges and faint soiling to the text block; housed in a crisp and bright Good or better dust jacket that shows an area to the lower front panel with tape repair to the verso, rubbing and chipping to the edges and corners, with one larger chip to the top front corner. The front flap is price clipped, as are most of the jackets in the first printing, most likely due to the publisher covering up a price increase. From the collection of Harry Reeser, a long time friend and business associate of MacDonald's; this copy inscribed to Reeser.
