This, of course, is Richard Jerome Kennedy, American writer; not to be confused with Richard Pitt Kennedy, British artist and illustrator and author of the delightful memoir "A Boy at the Hogarth Press". Here we have the American R.K. giving us three narrative poems: "Stinky Pete" illustrated by Lydia Dabcovich; "Delta Baby" illustrated by Charles Mikolaycak; and "The Wreck of the Linda Dear" illustrated by Jim Arnosky. Two of them are included in the tremendous "Richard Kennedy: Collected Stories" (Harper & Row, 1987), but not "Delta Baby" which Kennedy himself said "carried on rather too long" and is best forgotten.
