Early issue, ND, in a folder explaining 'This folder of directions together with its contents is now being offered at 6d. for the benefit of the St. Bride Printing Library Fund', comprising the complete set 'ALPHABETS', 'WHAT'S THAT TYPEFACE?' (2 copies) and 'A LEAFLET FOR STUDENTS OF TYPOGRAPHY', each 4pp. additional sheet with p3 of the LEAFLET printed to the recto. 2. Later issue (entirely redesigned and reset), ND, in a folder titled 'Student's type study leaflets', comprising the complete set '1 Letter Forms', '2 Proportions', '3 The Metal Type' and '4 Planning a Printed Job'. A useful, and (naturally) beautifully-designed ready-reference. The earlier set in particular is quite scarce. Near Fine (a couple of areas of light foxing and a light crease to the foot of the second set's folder).

No date but still uses British standard paper sizes, therefore likely to around 1960. No Jacket as such. Folder: cream coloured card with black lettering and red side stripes to front and rear, and cream coloured lettering on front red stripe; very clean and sound; slightest darkening and bumping to edges, and inked letter K to top front fore-corner, but overall in excellent condition for its age. Internally: 4 single fold leaflets with black and red lettering and black and white illustrations all on cream coloured paper.
