Unbound. Condition: Near Fine. One page letter on Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee stationary dated September 8, 1967. Old folds from mailing, about fine in original very good envelope with a bit of age-toning. A brief note to New York City actor and activist Horace Casselberry acknowledging his letter: "Dear Mr. Casselberry: Thanks a lot for your letter. It means so very much to me to get others views on the important matters now facing the black man in this country. Sincerely yours, Stokely Carmichael" Admittedly not an earthshaking letter, but with the very uncommon signature as Carmichael, before he adopted the name Kwame Ture around 1969.
