The planes are aloft over fields with the German balloon pilot parachuting to safety. Print of original watercolor by J. McGilchrist. [John McGilchrist, 1893-1977, was a Scottish artist who served as a balloon pilot-observer for the Royal Flying Corps high over the battlefields of France.
