Vago Giari è stato il più vittorioso Gamma se si esclude Luigi Ferraro che però operò in acque neutrali. Giari, giovane livornese, affondò in due diverse missioni, due navi inglesi nelle acque di Gibilterra. Giari dovette eludere la sorveglianza assidua di vedette e motoscafi antisom, prendendo acqua davanti alla base segreta di Villa Carmela, diretta da Antonio Ramognino e la moglie Conchita. Oggi il suo nome è praticamente dimenticato, me ne sono accorto contattando vari enti della sua città di Livorno. Spero che questo libro gli dia quella giusta notorietà che si deve ad un decorato di ben due MAVM.
