An…other signature in blue pen is in the margin of Page 16: "Richard R. Emparan [?]," who may be a local figure of Sonoma. A typed note on one page of Cheney California Lumber Co. stationery, is laid in back (was once tipped in on back cover, which has resulted in glue residue on the ephemera and inside of back cover). Pages are pristine and intact. Binding is tight. Covers are very intact and clean overall except for a tiny black dot on front cover, minuscule wear to fore-edge and corners along fore-edge, age toning to front and back, glue residue on insides of both covers. A Very Good copy. A concise booklet about Sonoma Valley's local history. About one paragraph is dedicated to most of the subjects. Some of the people, places, and points of interest discussed include Solano Mission, Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, Fort Ross, Vallejo's Casa Grande estate, Bear Flag Monument, Sonoma in the Gold Rush era, privately owned adobe houses, Jack London State Park, Buena Vista Winery, Luther Burbank Gardens, Kruse Rhododendron Reserve State Park, Sonoma Coast State Park, and Armstrong Redwoods State Park.
