Hardcover. Condition: Good. First Edition. Hardcover (board book), First Edition 1945 Pitman and Sons Ltd London 76 pages. Good, no DJ - as issued. Dark blue cloth spine over light green paper boards with blue titles - corners worn. Major shelf/edge wear and wrinkling to covers.Previous owners (two) name and address on FFEP. One lived in Coventry and the other in Stevenage. Book covers British variable-pitch propellers with particular regard to the pilot and ground engineer. Five chapters, Glossary and index. Chapters are: 1) Development of the Variable-pitch Propeller, 2) Operation on the Ground and in Flight, 3)De Havilland Hydromatic Propeller and Governor Unit, 4) Rotol External Cylinder Propeller and Governor Unit and 5) Rotol Electric propeller and Governor Unit.Very scarce wartime aeronautical study.
