Cardinal de Rohan was a French Bishop of Strasbourg, Cardinal, politician and cadet of the influential Rohan family. This manuscript document under the title "Hopital Royal 15-20," was created for the special hospice for the blind under the jurisdiction of Cardinal de Rohan, the Chaplain of the Hospital of Quinze-Vingts. The Cardinal, as being High Almoner of France, at the head of the Administration of the Hospital of Quinze-Vingts, had made many beneficial reforms and improvements and implemented a new plan of administration that the King heartily approved. The Cardinal considerably increased the persons admitted and the King was so pleased with the effects of the changes approved the addition of new members to the administration. This document outlines the addition of a Claude Boucher as "frere," brother, to the mission.
