Edward Wedlake Brayley was an English historian and topographer, known as one of the co-editors of The Beauties of England and Wales. This work offers a memoir of British working class poet, Robert Bloomfield, who wrote extensively of his home county of Suffolk and the surrounding areas. Brayley describes the various areas, including Sapiston, Whittlebury Forest and Shooter's Hill, to name a few, with many accompanying engravings. Rebound in half calf with marbled boards. Externally smart with slight rubbing to the boards and extremities. Bookplate to front pastedown. Internally firmly bound.
