Hardcover. Condition: VG. 1st. Here is the ideal book for those who love small boats and particularly those drawing their motive power from the sea breeze. The author/artist was an accomplished small boat sailor and also a noted artist, particularly of bird life. In "Wake" he draws together both areas of expertise with his experiences, observations and encounters on the water blended together through his art. Each of his 16 full colour art plates provides an evocative and atmospheric backdrop for a chapter, furthermore, each chapter is illustrated with his lovely black and white drawings,128 in all. A truely lovely book in words and pictures. 128 pages, map e/papers. Grey hard covers with gilt front/spine titles, impressed front decoration, VG with light wear spine extremities, lower corners. Text block excellent, no inscriptions. G colour art DJ price clipped, has several tears and chips, but little loss of surface. Keith Shackleton (illustrator).
