The cover is clean and sharp but has sunned area on spine (see scan), the book itself has some usual toning around endpapers but NO marks and NO tears or flaws, contents bright, tight and no odors. The dust jacket is presentable though lower third of jacket spine is missing and some scattered edge chips. Both flaps are perfect. Quite scarce but priced low.

Book in very good condition, in a similar unclipped dust jacket. The book shows bumping and fading to the spine ends, and some ageing internally. The dust jacket shows general wear and ageing, including internally, with small nicks and losses to the extremities. Overall a very nice copy for a book of this age. (See pictures). The author Andre Malraux was one of the Resistance leaders in France during the Second World War. After the Armistice, he took an active part in politics and was Minister of Information in General De Gaulle's Second Ministry.

Dust-jacket shows well with some creasing and chipping to the top and bottom edges, a couple of small closed tears at the top of the rear panel with a crease where the wrapper has been folded, spine slightly toned. A very good copy.
