Lovely copy of this wartime book not only signed by the author but from his personal library (one of a number in the Bookshop). Publisher's blue cloth covers with silver motif to front and silver lettering to spine; gutter cracks front & back but webbing holding; slight wear to corners but generally very clean inside & out. 'Christmas 1951' has been written in blue ink to front fly leaf; author's library stamp to half-title; author's signature in blue in to title page. Dust wrapper is unclipped but has losses to top of spine and top right of rear panel, rear panel slightly grubby but printed text complete; front panel has small loss to top left but not bad otherwise & retains good colour; now housed in protective cover. Signed by Author(s).
