Probably Bealby's personal copy, with his name and "Edinburgh 1885" written in pen at the top right corner of each volume's title page. With eleven etchings by Adolphe Lalauze on Japanese paper.Binding square and tight. Pages clean and unmarked. Some general wear and rubbing to boards. Spine label iillegible due to wear, with some loss. Some age-toning. An exceedingly scarce copy inscribed by the translator Bealby as his own personal property. Inscribed by Author(s).
