For her travels and accounts she received the Founder's Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society. From Wikipedia: Dame Freya Madeline Stark, DBE, 1893 9 May 1993, was a British - Italian explorer and travel writer. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples.
