Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. United Wire Works Ltd, n.d. (circa 1930) First of this edition. Very good. A handsome bright red textured cloth with striking gilt titling on front board. 52 pages of charts, specs and product illustrations. Very light foxing to endpapers. Text is also very good. On front endpaper: "With Compliments (ink) with stamps, "R.N. Norris 93 Houghton Drive Johannesburg; South African Agent for United Wire Works LTD." Laid in, is a tri-fold pamphlet for "Paper Machine Wires A New Service by the United Wire Works Ltd." with advertising for "Durable Patches". United Wire traces its roots back to 1825 and has been on its present site in Edinburgh since the 1930s. The ?Wire Works? factory remains an iconic landmark, with a rich history of wire production and weaving for the paper making industry.
