This witness docket covers a decade of early Ohio legal history, documenting a key aspect of the trial process - both civil and criminal. Hundreds of names appear, including members of the prominent Zane family and one mention of "Doctor Grey Eyes" who presumably was a native American. Also, there is a record of witnesses called in two 1842 trials involving attempted rape. Binding worn with tears to the spine. Hinge broken. Handwritten entries are clean and legible.
