Formerly Alison Lurie's copy, signed and inscribed by the author: "for Alison and Jonatham with my love, Bob." Lurie read these poems carefully, and added tiny remarks in pencil to some, and lightly underlined a few words and added light vertical pencil lines to some lines.

Bound in publisher's burnt umber cloth lettered in black; issued without a dust jacket. Hand set caslon old style on paper handmade by Walter Hamady, with the actual printing pulled at the Rob Run Press in Rochester. Near Fine with small abrasion to rear board at center. A scarce imprint of the Black Mountain poet's collection of fragmentary verses. Creeley was one of the most influential poets of the 20th century known best for concise and emotional balladry. This is the first of four collaborations between Creeley and Hamady for the Perishable Press. Bruccoli & Clark Vol. 3 p. 57.
