Baum was awarded a medal of honor of the Architectural League of New York in 1923 "for the simplicity and charm of his residential work." His work included Colonial, English and Dutch Colonial styles. Final chapter on his Miscellaneous work. Interior contents clean. Wear to backstrip extremities. Orig. navy blue cloth lettered in gilt. Very good.

Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. This is a very good hardcover copy with just light wear. No dust jacket. Bound in blue cloth with title in gilt to the spine. Completely clean outside, generally clean inside, a few stray faint marks in margins of plates. One plate has a closed tear to the right margin. 191 black & white plates: photographs of residential building exteriors, interiors, details, floor plans, etc. Small previous owmer name and date of 1927 on one of the white front endpapers. 16" high X 12" wide. Large heavy book foreign postage will be extra. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.

The jacket is quite tanned with some staining and ragged edges. There is a hole in the spine where the paper has become brittle and chipped away. However, the majority of each panel remains intact and attached. The book has some mild edgewear and some light fraying at the spine ends and corners. Otherwise, text clean and binding tight. With a Foreword by Harvey Wiley Corbett & an Introduction and Commentary Text by Matlack Price.
