Newsprint, folded once. Exhibition catalog for "Your Worst Work," curated by Les Levine and held October 30th-December 5th, 1969 at The Architectural League of New York. Artists chose their "worst work" and included a blurb about its faults or failures. In justifying why the work is considered his worst, John Giorno writes "It's disgusting"; of his own piece, Levine notes "I didn't get paid for it"; and Natalie Evelyn Gaines recalls "Just hated doing it and disliked it more after it was finished." Artists include Aida Whedon, Sally Swan Carr, Martha Turi, Philip Danzig, Katherine Stadler, John Giorno, Rene Shapshak, Robert A. Propper, Juliette Leff, Les Levine, Herbert Lippman, Mimi Lobell, J.H. Manhold, Paul Von Ringelheim, Roy Moyer, Eleanor Pepper, Natalie Evelyn Gaines, Anita Weschler, Der Scutt, Adelaide Ungerland, Susan Kasakove, Robert Buxbaum (who declines to participate), Michael Edward Charrier, Marilyn Perlman, Phyllis Mark, Lily Landis, Frances M. Young, Jeanette S. Schlanger, and Sylvia Carewe, Very good plus. Folded once and expected chipping to newsprint at the folds and toning to the paper.
