Blanden, William Stanley Braithwaite, Witter Bynner, Babette Deutsch, Zona Gale, J. Conson Miller, Edwin Arlington Robinson, John Jerome Rooney, Lew Sarett, Vincent Starrett. Markham's wife Anna Catherine--poet, teacher, and lecturer--has Signed her contribution. Edwin Markham (1852 - 1940) was a prominent American poet. From 1923 to 1931 he was Poet Laureate of Oregon. This handsomely produced volume also contains a facsimile of Markham's most famous poem "The Man with the Hoe." We are unable to read the reproduced signature of the individual who executed the fine sihouette of the poet. Solid, clean volume with minimal fading, sharp corners, and flawless contents. Slight wear to corners and a bit of warping to boards.
