Paper cover has mild edge-wear with light rubbing and creasing. Some light marking and tanning.

Softcover. Condition: Good. Single card gate-folded to 11.5 in. square. It opens to reveal an illustration that appeared in the October 21, 1871 issue of "The Graphic" of printers at Clay, Sons & Taylor "as they contemplated Alexander's Mackie's 'pickpocket' typesetting machine, which was operated by a perforated spool of paper and driven by steam" (from Moran's brief explanatory essay). Very good to good copy; edges of folder somewhat unevenly faded and creased, rear panel with scratch marks, small bit of cellophane tape residue on inside flap.
