Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First American edition. 5 x 7 1/2 in. 309 pp. Brown cloth boards with gilt titles. Copyright pg states "Printed in England." A very scarce first US edition of Young's second novel. Condition is VERY GOD ; corners and spine ends mildly worn, covers very clean. Spine cocked with a dent near top. Binding tight and text bright and unmarked. Stamp from a Maine house on front pastedown. Young's work regained some esteem with reprints by Virago in the 1980s. Fiction. RGR.
