It was prepared in response to many inquiries concerning the Union Bank and Trust Company Gold Collection. It contains a brief history of the Discovery of Gold in Last Chance Gulch; how gold came to be used as a medium of exchange; and a description of the various methods of recovering gold. The booklet also contains a detailed description of the various nuggets in the display which was started originally by Henry Elling, first president of the Union Bank and Trust Company in 1898.
