Ginny Joyner, the illustrator of this title, has inscribed this volume, "P is for Phoenix," on the title page and dated the inscription 2012. This is the sixth printing of the book. This is part of a series of state alphabet books, and focuses on life, history and landmarks in Vermont. Inscribed by Illustrator(s).

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. Ralph Crosby Smith provided the illustration for the frontispiece of the his hard cover with green boards and blue lettering and illustration of an airplane. This part of the Lucky Terrell Flying series. The boards have edge wear, and most of the dust jacket is present. However, a large section of the back panel of the dust wrapper is missing. There are also other small sections of the dust jacket that are missing or chipped. A previous owner's book plate is affixed to the decorated, with airplanes, past down. The paper is brown but not brittle. The dust jacket is now protected by a clear removable cover.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. This is the 4th printing of this title, May, 1946. The board, board edges, and interior show wear, e.g. the board shows through the pictorial paper covers, the webbing can be seen at the front joint at the lower end of the spine, there is light spotting throughout the volume and the bottom margin of one of the leafs is torn in this 80 page children's book. However, the activities themselves are filled with diagrams, instructions and are easily read. There are black-and-white line illustrations throughout the volume and the text block remains firmly attached to the spine cover. There are no previous owner's names, pencil or crayon marks, and other than the small piece missing from the bottom of one leaf, the pages are intac.

Soft cover. Condition: As New. 1st Edition. This book presents as in new condition and is clean and bright throughout. The author completed both the 26 pages of poetry for this volume but also did the art work for the cover. This No. 111 of the New Women's Voices Series.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. This title is part of the Chip Hilton Sports Series. It has pink and black boards with a basketball hoop image on the front cover, and black lettering and an image of boy on the spine. The book is clean and bright with no marks on the text pages, there is, however, one mark on the decorated, sports equipment, front free paper-it looks like a printed "F." The top edges are dyed red. The dust jacket has some minor tears, wrinkles. colors loss and chipping but is currently protected by a clear removable cover.

The volume is unpaginated and measures approximately 7 1/2 by 9 1/4 inches. The top edge is soiled, spotted, but other edges are clean and bright. The dust jacket appears to be lightly toned, soiled and presents with several tears and folds. Please look at the pictures carefully and ask questions about the item prior to making a purchase.

The author addressed the issues of romance, mental health and adolescence within the pages of the story presented. The boards covered in purple paper and have silver lettering on the spine. The edges of the leaves are toned, but the interior of the book is clean, bright and without marks. The dust jacket has a "Schneider Family Book Award" sticker affixed to the front cover, both in letters and brail. There is an area on the spine cover the dust jacket where it appears the top layer of the paper is missing and appears to have only effected a small section. of the logo of the publisher. There are no creases to the spine, internal writing, rips or tears internally or externally and only minimal wear to the bottom edge. A few of the upper corners have small folds, apparently from being bumped and purposefully folded.

The covers have light edge wear, and area where it appears a sticker was affixed and since removed leaving a space where the gloss of the covers is missing and shows light surface markings. The spine to the covers is not creased and the covers remain stiff to open. There are no mark to the text pages. On the inside from cover is a book plate from the Poetry House Library and an indication this was a duplicate in their stock and was sold. There are no other library markings to this volume.

There are 106 pages to this volume of the author's poetry, the first collection published in English, she has previously published a book of poetry in Spanish.

The only flaw that keeps this book from being "As New" is a small piece of the back cover is missing, and some faint soiling on the fore-edge. This is the author's first novel and is a first edition first printing of this title. The author has inscribed this 319 page book on the title page.
