Bookends in Florence

Bookends in Florence is a bookstore and community event space focusing on lesbian history and culture; building intergenerational community; making spaces for underrepresented writers and performers; providing low-cost spaces for arts and political education; and community resource distribution. Our two-floor storefront stocks approximately 50,000 used books — focusing on Soviet and revolutionary history, Marxist literary criticism, philosophy, and environmental studies — and a growing selection of new books, focusing primarily on lesbian and LGBT literature and history.
