Language: English. Approximately 68 pages. English: Print-on-demand reprint. Original edition : 1743. Text in English. This work presents a critical examination of John Locke's hypothesis regarding the attainability of divine knowledge through ideas of reflection. The author, John Ellis, argues against Locke's position, demonstrating that such knowledge cannot be derived from reflection alone, based on Locke's own principles. The text serves as an addition to Ellis's earlier work, 'The knowledge of divine things from revelation, not from nature or reason', and contributes to the philosophical debates of the 18th century.
