Edition limited to 250 copies, folio, 36 colored plates, one folding, with annotations in front. Very good in green paper wrappers with green slipcase, the slipcase with a chip to one edge and tear to the corners of another. A reproduction of the original 1770 text on rural architecture. The demand for copies of a work representing eighteenth-century Tuscany was quite heavy, and copies were purchased by the major architectural schools throughout the world. As a result, copies of the original edition in private hands are scarce.
