About the Author
Dr. Robert A. Carey is a clinical forensic psychologist and conservatorship supervisor. He has worked with a variety of client populations, including foster children, adult survivors of abuse and people with severe mental illness. As a survivor himself, he devotes his career to assisting diverse populations of trauma. In his spare time, he focuses on his family, which includes building "ginormous" castles, play coffins and "sparklies" for his wife, Dr. Debra.
Dr. Debra Warner is a Full Professor and CEO/President of Dr. Debra Publishing LLC. Her areas of expertise include: organizational leadership, male survivors related to trauma and violence, community gang intervention, immigration and mental health, competency, psychological testing, diversity, personality disorders, and substance abuse. Dr. Warner is a frequent speaker at conferences and other venues and has given a TedX Talk, as well as appeared on CBS. I. General Terms and Conditions
§ 1 Basic provisions
(1) The following terms and conditions apply to all contracts that you conclude with us as a provider (AHA-BUCH GmbH) via the Internet platforms AbeBooks and/or ZVAB. Unless otherwise agreed, the inclusion of any of your own terms and conditions used by you will be objected to

§ 5 Choice of law, place of performance, place of jurisdiction
(1) German law shall apply. In the case of consumers, this choice of law shall only apply insofar as this does not withdraw the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the state of the consumer's habitual residence (principle of favourability).
(2) The place of performance for all services arising from the existing business relationships with us as well as the place of jurisdiction is our registered office, insofar as you are not a consumer, but a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law. The same applies if you do not have a general place of jurisdiction in Germany or the EU or if the domicile or habitual residence is not known at the time the action is brought. (3) The provisions of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall expressly not apply.
