Graves ist n�mlich kein normaler Leichenwagenfahrer, er ist Spezialist f�r die etwas 'ungew�hnlicheren' Auftr�ge. 'Ungew�hnlich' hei�t oft auch 'gef�hrlich', und das bedeutet mehr Geld. Darunter f�llt zum Beispiel der Transport der sterblichen �berreste des Voodoo-Priesters Mose Freeman. Mit Freemans temperamentvoller Enkeltochter als Beifahrerin muss Alabaster zun�chst die Strecke von Shreveport nach New Orleans zur�cklegen, um den Leichnam abzuholen. Doch Alabaster wei� nicht, dass er von einem Leichenr�uber mit Namen Fallow verfolgt wird; ein Nekromant, der seine Kr�fte aus den K�rpern Verstorbener generiert. F�r Fallow w�re die Leiche von Mose Freeman der ultimative Fang.
