Max (Francesc Capdevila, Barcelona, 1956) se inicia en la historieta dentro del incipiente movimiento underground barcelon�s mientras estudia en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Jordi. En 1979 empieza a colaborar mensualmente en El V�bora, revista en la que desarrollar� la mayor parte de su obra historiet�stica y desde la que se convertir� en uno de los autores de c�mic espa�oles m�s reconocidos internacionalmente, con premios como el Ignatz (EE. UU., 1999) o el Gran Premio del Sal�n Internacional del C�mic de Barcelona (2000) y el Premio Nacional de C�mic del Ministerio de Cultura (2007) por su obra Bard�n el superrealista (traducida a seis idiomas). Otras obras suyas recientes publicadas en Ediciones La C�pula son Vapor, Paseo astral, Conversaci�n de sombras, Oh diab�lica fi cci�n!, Rey Carb�n y Fiuuu & Graac.
