The book is focused on the studies which were basically done on HIV/AIDS and risk related with HIV infection. This study makes an attempt to know how the knowledge, perception and attitude changes among PLHIV (cases) and non-PLHIV (control) people with respect to certain background characteristics and that in conformity with gender wise variation. It also tries to know the risk behaviour and HIV related infections such as TB and STI among them. The present study has utilized the data from Men’s and women’s file of NFHS-III (2005-06).To fulfil the purpose of the study author uses propensity score matching to choose the non PLHIV men and women (control) twice the number of PLHIV men and women (cases) on the basis of certain characteristics as Age, place of residence, religion, literacy and wealth index.
