Written for modern households, this guide helps readers understand where borax can be useful, where caution is appropriate, and how to incorporate it into realistic cleaning routines without confusion or exaggerated claims. Whether you are dealing with stubborn laundry odors, hard water buildup, greasy kitchen surfaces, or outdoor cleaning tasks, this book provides practical instruction grounded in everyday use.
Inside, you will learn how borax works, how it compares to other common household products such as baking soda and boric acid, and how to apply it responsibly in a variety of cleaning and maintenance situations. The book avoids sensational claims and focuses instead on practical, informed solutions designed for real homes and realistic expectations.
The Complete Borax Guide covers a wide range of household applications, including laundry boosting, deodorizing fabrics and rooms, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, stain reduction, hard water concerns, outdoor surfaces, and simple DIY cleaning mixtures. It also explores pest-management applications and explains the importance of careful handling, storage, and measured use around children, pets, food-preparation areas, and sensitive surfaces.
Readers will discover:
• Practical laundry-boosting methods for towels, bedding, work clothes, and everyday fabrics
• Ways to address hard water residue and soap buildup in kitchens, bathrooms, and appliances
• DIY cleaning recipes for floors, sinks, tubs, countertops, and household surfaces
• Approaches to deodorizing shoes, trash bins, refrigerators, upholstery, and storage spaces
• Guidance for outdoor cleaning projects involving patios, tools, bins, and garden areas
• Explanations of borax vs baking soda vs boric acid and when each product is commonly used
• Simple cleaning toolkit ideas for maintaining an organized and efficient household routine
• Pest-management applications presented with realistic expectations and safety considerations
• Safe handling practices, storage guidance, and surface-awareness tips for responsible use
• Clear instructions designed for beginners as well as experienced DIY homeowners
Rather than presenting borax as a cure-all product, this book takes a calm and practical approach. Some cleaning tasks benefit from borax, while others may require alternative methods or extra caution. The goal is to help readers make informed decisions, reduce guesswork, and create manageable routines that fit everyday life.
The Complete Borax Guide is designed for homeowners, renters, apartment dwellers, DIY enthusiasts, and anyone interested in maintaining a cleaner, more organized living space using accessible household materials. The instructions are written in a reader-friendly style that prioritizes clarity, practicality, and safe application over trends or gimmicks.
If you are looking for a grounded, informative resource that explains how borax can support laundry care, household cleaning, odor removal, outdoor maintenance, and simple DIY solutions, this book offers a practical place to start. Discover thoughtful methods for simplifying everyday cleaning tasks while building a more efficient and informed home-care routine.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
