17cm. [8]pp, text devices, illustrations and views. Bound into a copy of Gent's 'History of Ripon 1783', lacking the two rare woodcuts called for in the 'Journey into some parts of Yorkshire.' Later panelled calf gilt, raised bands, decorated in blind, marbled endpapers. Lacks spine label; later stamped perforations to foot of final leaf - not affecting text or image. Not in ESTC, COPAC, or Boyne. OCLC lists a copy at Wakefield Libraries, giving the author as Thomas Gent; however, in Gent's autobiography, published in 1832, there is no mention of this work, nor is it present in the extensive section devoted to Gent in Robert Davies 'A Memoir of the York Press.'.
