Los contrarios

Spanish-speaking pre-schoolers and early-grades kids are introduced to four fundamental concepts: opposites, colors, shapes, and numbers in this delightful four-book series. Cheerful color illustrations show kids and their teddy bears being introduced to these ideas, then applying them to their everyday activities at home and at play. The text of each book is brief and clearly written in words that younger children will readily understand. A special page for parents and teachers at the end of each title suggests ideas that adults can present to kids to strengthen their understanding of each concept. In Los Contrarios, noise versus silence (ruido and silencio ), day versus night ( da and noche ), and cold versus hot (fro and calor ) are some of the opposites kids will encounter here.
