About the Author: Maria do Sameiro Barroso (Braga,1951), is a poet, an essayist, a Germanist, a Medicine Doctor and researcher in Medical History, currently Vice President of the Portuguese PEN Center and delegate to the World Poetry Movement. She has won several awards for poetry, including Poetry Interna-tional Prize "Iberian Word 2009" with the original "An amphora on the horizon." Her book, "Poems of the incomplete night", published by Editions Escrituras (São Paulo, Brazil) in 2010, was selected among seven Portuguese authors' books for the Price Portugal Tel-ecom 2011 in Brazil.
