First American from the fourth Brussels edition, 8vo, pp. 80; removed from binding, wrappers wanting; light spotting, one leaf torn and neatly repaired with tape, first and last leaves starting to loosen; good. The Robertsonian method sought to teach language through studying natural language conversation. French text is provided with interlinear translations, then vocabulary, and phrases for study. Monteith wrote similar books for Latin, Italian, Spanish, and German.
