[A Map of 17th Century Edinburgh] Square 4to. Bound in publisher's morocco, with gilt medallion on front cover of Edinburgh city seal. Some shelf wear, rubbing to leather. Internally, the book is divided into two sections, an 8 page historical notice by David Laing and a large linen-backed folding map of the city., (42 x 108 cm). The map is a scale reproduction of the De Wit version of the Gordon plan. "From an original copy in the possession of David Laing Esquire.".
