Separate title page to second part, that on diseases of the horse. Signature John Fowler His Book Cash £4: 6s. 1736 to rear paste-down, similar to verso of plate VII. Contemporary calf, leather worn around the hinges but ties holding solidly, faint old damp mark to upper part of margin of prelims, occasional light mark thereafter. Overall a good example with all pages and illustrations intact (please see photos). It is interesting that it retailed for so much in 1736 it must have been regarded as an essential aid to keeping horses by the contemporary horse-owner.
