"126 (Highland) Field Regiment RA (TA) was formed at Aberdeen in June 1939 with two batteries as a duplicate of 75 Field Regiment. A third battery was raised sometime prior to July 1941 at Nairn. In July 1941 a fourth battery was raised at Elgin but moved 6 months later to 178 Field Regiment. Post war 126 (Highland) Field Regiment RA (TA) went into suspended animation in April 1946 in NW Europe and was disbanded in January 1947". No publisher but the book is accompanied by a With Compliments" slip from "The Commanding Officer and all ranks of the 126th (Highland) Field Regiment R.A.". 85p +3p Roll of Honour. Forward by Brigadier J.A.Oliver dated 15th January 1946. Maps of the Travels of the Regiment (folding) and of North Africa.Covers Early days with the 8th Army, Battle of Egypt, On to Tripoli, Tripoli to Tunis, The Sicilian campaign, Normandy Beach-head, The Channel Ports, Battles for the Maas, Ardennes WinterThe Richswald Forest, Rhine Crossing and The Last Act. Clean and without significant marks or signatures bit the backstrip (as such) has deficiencies and there is some corner wear. As well as the compliments slip are two pages of duplicated typescript in A4 with a list of almost 100 names and addresses from all over the UK - presumably members if the Regiment. Apparently rare - I have found no reference to this publication anywhere - but please correct me if you can! See Scans.
