Inscribed, and dated 1944, on front free end paper. Presumed first edition as stated "First published 1934" and no mention of other impressions. No wear to book. Dust jacket is without wear but has a liquid stain on the front, though not too serious. The jacket is slightly small for the book but I have looked carefully and it does not appear to have been cut down (and the copy for sale with Peter Harrington is also smaller than the book). Scarce.
