Head and tail of spine bumped; gilt lettering on spine moderately soiled, but legible. White manuscript lettering at tail of spine. Bookseller's ticket found at bottom edge of front paste-down: "Charles S. Pratt New and Old Books New York." Ex-libris blind stamp found on bottom corner of front end-page: "Library of William S. Jackson." Normal toning throughout text-block, mostly at edges of leaves. Blind corporate seal stamp found on page 15: "Rolling Wheels Incorporated 1969 Pennsylvania." Binding remains intact. Please see photos. William James Jackman (1850 - ?) was a prolific author of American history, transportation and commerce. He was managing editor of the Chicago Journal.
